International Polar Bear Day Toolkit

International Polar Bear Day is February 27!

We founded this day to coincide with the time period when polar bear moms and cubs are snug in their dens. As part of our celebration, we focus on the need to protect denning families across the Arctic. Scroll down for action tools, resources, and ways to get involved!

In The Den

Right now, polar bear moms and their newborn cubs are snuggled together in snow dens across the Arctic. The denning period is the most vulnerable time in a polar bear’s life. And in a warming Arctic, where polar bears face enormous challenges, the survival of every single cub is critically important.

You Can Help

We invite you to join our collective effort to protect denning moms and cubs. Use your voice and platform to raise awareness about the threats denning families face–and help us garner support to develop critical new den detection technology.

Create Your Own Content

One of the most important things we can do to protect moms and cubs is to get involved and talk about it! Why do you care about polar bears? What moves you to act? Why are moms and cubs important to you?

Write up your own post or use some of the sample language below! Have your own photos? AMAZING! Looking for one to share?
